Over the years I have worked with several different insurance offices and in two different states. I started with State Farm in December 2012 in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. I worked there until December 2016 when my husband and I moved back to NC. Working in the same community that I live helps me relate to the people we insure.

I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education, and taught in Kannapolis City Schools as an elementary classroom teacher for thirty years. Upon retirement in June of 2018, I received my insurance licenses to offer Auto, home, life and health insurance. I decided to follow in the family footsteps by joining my father’s office, Jim Hodgens’ State Farm, as a team member. I feel that I’m still in the teaching business, helping others discovering what their insurance needs are and understand the coverage they have.
I have been married to my husband for thirty-eight wonderful years. We have two sons, two daughters-in-law, and five beautiful grandchildren. I enjoy spending time with family, shopping, and traveling.
